Hello everyone! After 22 years my dad finally drew a big horn sheep tag for the Henry's here in Utah. He is way excited and so are we! I am hoping for any advice and places to look. We will be spending a lot of time down there this Summer and Fall. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Congrats to your pops,
I have hunted across the highway on the Dirty Devil side several times, but don't know the Henry's side.
Desert sheep hunting and scouting is all about good glassing spots and patience. I'd get down there very soon before it gets too hot and the bugs get out. They are nasty little critters and they will drive you nuts.
Good maps will help.
Best of luck

Rent a houseboat and use it for your base camp. Shouldn't have a problem finding rams. Friend did it a couple of years ago and killed a great ram for that unit. Congrats to your dad on a great tag. Hope you guys have a hunt of several lifetimes!

Plus one to the above posts.

I've been in the DD unit with LBH, also when my daughter drew, many times but never on the Henry Mtn side but you should do just fine if you sit and glass 93.7% of your time spent. DON'T DEER HUNT! There's just too much country and too few sheep to hope to "walk" one up.

Congrats to your dad.

Zeke

We aren't getting to crazy till the last of October till November. I'll post pics when we kill the big one. Thanks for asking :)

It was a very tough hunt and we had a blast minus the sore legs and muscles lol. My dad at 63 years old did I great job. I think I tried to kill him a couple times. He was thrilled with his ram and I am very grateful I was there with him. Thanks guys!!
