Hey all, I recently drew a Utah spring bear permit on the San Juan. I am currently planning on trying to do this hunt as a spot and stalk type hunt. I have in the past harvested a bear in Arizona with the use of dogs and it was a great experience. For those of you that have hunted the San Juan or have any knowledge of the area here is my question. Am I crazy in doing this as a spot and stalk type hunt or should I be looking for some hounds to use. I have done some talking already to a few people and they have given me some advice but I also value all of your opinions. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
