Harvest Objective Spot and Stalk

LAST EDITED ON Feb-16-16 AT 06:02PM (MST)[p]Just wondering about spot and stalk on the harvest objective units in Utah. Have any of you guys done it? How was it? Any suggestions on units? I am thinking about doing this instead of going out of state to Idaho, less expensive, closer to home. I would just like a chance to go backpacking in the mountains and maybe have a shot at shooting a bear. PM me if you would like to, thanks for any help.

You been out yet?
I see a few bears have been taken on the objective units.

I went out last weekend. I did not see a bear or any sign. There was still quite a bit of snow, and a storm hit. I think we will have a better chance in a couple weeks. I got a tip on one area. It didn't pan out so we just did the best we could by trying to hit other areas that might hold a bear. Do you have any advice or suggestions on where to head?

I wish I could provide anything valuable but this is my first year of bear hunting and I'm going to give it a try over the week of May 9th. Got the time off work and have been playing around on google earth but we will see what we find.

Good luck, we will be heading out on the 13th. I would be interested to hear how it went if you don't mind. I'll let you know how it goes with us as well.
