The later the better in 44. The crazy thing is I wouldn't put all your eggs into drawing 4th even with 25 points this year.
I know. That’s I why I said “Giant or bust mentality” but yes point creep is going on be a circus. I think I might go sneak away on a Utah general tag... might be quiet over there with everyone coming to Colorado this year ???I meant 25 NR points probably won't be enough for 4th in 44 this year
Tough hunt. What’s y’all’s opinion on the unit 44 muzzleloader season?
Low deer numbers, heavy timber and low success rate. It's not a hunt for someone expecting to kill. Between myself and buddies we've had 9 tags and have only one deer to show for it.What’s y’all’s opinion on the unit 44 muzzleloader season?
I’d do it! They’re tough to get with a muzzleloader, but there are giants in that unit and so I’d do it again for the right price. What’s y’all’s opinion on the unit 44 muzzleloader season?
I’ve got 2 pts. Thinking about spending them on a 44 muzzy hunt. Tell me I’m stupidI’d do it! They’re tough to get with a muzzleloader, but there are giants in that unit and so I’d do it again for the right price.
If there is lead in the air there is hope, give her hell, but let’s be real it is a low point unit for a reason, only a few years back it was a leftover tag. Lots of stuff isn’t left over since there is an absurd amount of interest in western hunting, but it’s a very difficult hunt even for guys who really know the unit, so do with that what you willI’ve got 2 pts. If you can get over there and scout and find a taker buck to focus on, it could be fun. There are big bucks in the unit every year, whether it's September or November. The does and snow just help pull them out into the open more.I’ve got 2 pts. Thinking about spending them on a 44 muzzy hunt. Tell me I’m stupid
Mmmm it’s damn tough but there was absolute slob killed in 44 this year with the help of a well known guide during muzzy season that was all over the internetI’ve got 2 pts. Thinking about spending them on a 44 muzzy hunt. Tell me I’m stupid
The average internet dude doesn’t know that… but they will suck up those 44 muzzy tags thoughIt was on highly regulated private property though!
From what information I’ve gathered on the unit there isn’t whole lot of glassable country up high, which is probably why it’s so good in the later seasons when they come downAnyone been on the early rifle hunt? Is it glassable open country up high?
A portion of deer that end up in 44 in November aren’t resident deer. The resident deer don’t typically live up high and the mature bucks are awful ghostly in the timber majority of the year. From what information I’ve gathered on the unit there isn’t whole lot of glassable country up high, which is probably why it’s so good in the later seasons when they come down
In your opinion.. What units do you think that portion of deer move in from?A portion of deer that end up in 44 in November aren’t resident deer. The resident deer don’t typically live up high and the mature bucks are awful ghostly in the timber majority of the year.
Probably best to share that in a DM… looky loos are everywhere these days!In your opinion.. What units do you think that portion of deer move in from?
