Bear River Zone Idaho

I had the tag last year and have hunted the Utah areas right up to the state line for many years.
There are elk through out the unit and plenty of public access. I would scout Franklin Basin and Beaver creek area within 10 miles of the Utah border. There will be more people (many non-hunters) however I also believe you will find more elk. Don't expect to see many deer they winter killed really bad last year.
If you want more specific information write PM. I will be hunting Diamond Creek this year. So I will be scouting it this summer. if you know any good starting points thanks for sharing.

I’ve killed some elk in Hodge Nibley and White Canyon, also there’s a big wallow I sat on

I’ve hunted it the last 4 years, that winter kill hit the elk hard. Last year was the worst it’s been as far as elk hunting. We typically kill about 50% on bulls and we struck out last year.
