I have the Bora 95 and the frickin' thing is huge. HOWEVER, I find the shoulder straps to be quite uncomfortable as they twist when you really cinch them and they cut into your chest. I think modifying the sternum strap will fix the problem. The advantage is that they cost waaaay less than the...
I think I'll stick with my rifle for hunting deer, sheep etc.
Bears just don't hold the excitement with a rifle any more. I have shot waaay too many of them. So I pick up my bow and kill one of my best bears ever. Go figure.
I like to glass first light as well, especially if it has rained during the night. I find spots where the sun hits early and bears seem to congregate. It's not uncommon for us to find logging blocks with an eastern exposure where there will be several bears feeding before it gets too warm.
I have never seen a lot of deer around there. But I only travel through on the highway and the timber is very thick. Loads of bears and moose, even some wolves.
Got a couple friends who guide for him. Awesome country, very little pressure and good populations. I personally have seen 60" moose in there. Usually there are quite a lot of Caribou but I never saw any real giants.
Awesome Stone sheep area.

AND you must be accompanied by a guide while you're hunting.
If you are sheling out big dollars for Stone Sheep then you should be thinking about trophy class. The east side of the rocky mtn. trench has the best overall quality of rams. Think about Gundahoo River Outfitters, Big Nine Outfitters or Stone Mountain Safaris. I've hunted the Bradford's area as...
LAST EDITED ON Nov-11-05 AT 10:13AM (MST)[p]Bura, I killed a goat and a caribou on my fly in hunt this year. Nice to see you're still hanging around here. How's your season going?
I am a BC resident but I didn't have to pay for a charter. We went on the two leg express. My Stone hunt this year will be about $1500 including the flight.
