    Points are Points

If they simply added them or averaged them it would dramatically over value the general points and undercut the value of limited points already obtained. BAD idea. Keep the draws seperate. It would be fine to only allow you to apply in one or the other if they absolutely must make a change.

    Muzzleloader Draw Odds

Probably not... only thing that would happen is the flintlock and roundball sellers would have slightly better year. I'd be HAPPY to only hunt flintlock for the rest of my life if western states would put that rule in and offer me tags! And I have never even shot one!

    Walleye

I caught one on purpose! It counts!

    Valle Vidal, NM Sep 1-14

Two NM tags in two years, including a OIL? I hardly think you need any help here, you are plenty lucky. Congrats on the soon to be new addition.

    Wonder what caused this

Animals are tough muthas… their immune system is unreal. Humans are unfit for survival and die from a stubbed toe by comparison.

MOST UNUSUAL CATCH ON A FISHING ROD???

Oh yeah, I’ve been caught a couple times… fun hospital or urgent care visits. Also have hooked a seagull off a pier in SC. Snapping turtle. Water snakes. But the best was when an alligator went after my spinner bait ( in SC again, what is it with SC?) and of course broke my line. Well…...

    Walleye

How do you catch these things! I have a major river near me that “supposedly” holds many, but for the life of me I have no idea how to catch them intentionally, fishing from shore. I have caught 1 or two over the years while fishing for other species. Some guys clean up on large walleyes in the...

New Hunter Looking for some Guidance

Don’t hunt out of season or without a license. Don’t shoot recklessly or put people at risk. other than that, if you are legal, hunt whatever floats your boat. and sort of like fishing, hunting can always be catch and release until and unless you decide to pull that trigger.

    Spill the Beans

Only 2nd choices for all, Elk/Deer/Antelope. This one hurt, since I am finally in the zone for a desirable elk tag with my points level. But couldn't take the chance of a double elk draw with NM. I likely set myself back a few years in CO now, and maybe will never catch up again. Hope that isn’t...

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

saw from an article regarding Wyoming… same issue though: Staeben “certainly believes — and I concur — that the [Game and Fish] commission, the department, did not have statutory authority to create a license to collect antlers,” Nesvik told the taskforce on Wednesday. “They believe that it’s...

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

I’m not sure it is the same but that is just a gut feeling, past the limit of my actual legal knowledge on who owns what on fed lands.

    Antelope 63-2

I am sure you would do fine in 63. I was out that way last fall. Definitely less antelope than there were in 2020 (also following a tough winter) but I bet you have no problem finding some animals to hunt. Terrain varies, which is fun, and antelope can be found low or high (mid).

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

How does any state regulate what can or can’t be picked up and collected off of federal lands, by whom, and when? once these are considered objects and no longer wildlife owned/held by the state, sounds like the feds would be the ones with jurisdiction, no?

    Idaho Bear River (75/78) elk

Hunted it a few years back, same story as several of the others. Tough hunting. Found sign, didn’t lay eyes on an elk. Started to feel that the elk behave more like deer over there, silent, stealthy, mostly nocturnal.
