Any suggestions where to access? A good area? North end of the lake or south?

I have a 10 year old with his first deer tag this year. It’s in unit 1 and I have never been there before. Just some general help if anyone has some. We are going around thanksgiving time this 2023 season. So far I’ve been looking east of priest lake but I still don’t know where we can access.

have you hunted elk in the past?

With the new reports about the wasatch extended being expanded. And the addition of new extended regions in utah county as anyone heard where the boundaries are going to be? not just the south north but the east west. also if this includes elk as well.

Someone told me to hunt the burns. I would agree. concentrate in those areas!

Are you kidding!!!! I have been trying to draw that tag for ever!!! How many points did you have? You should have an awesome hunt for sure! The elk down there are always bugleing early and though there isnt a ton of road access to the best areas just listenfor them from the road! Ive been on...

You got it, I'm that lucky guy who drew the any weapon tag at the expo. surprised me too. Ill be honest, I know nothing of the unit. Is there anyone out there who has hunted it before and could get me to a good start?
