Dang and I'm getting a 338 edge here shortly. It's roughly 75 shots per pound... OUCH. I suddenly feel under supplied with 18 pounds of H1k and 8 pounds of Retumbo.🧐 That could become a very limited shooter opting for the 6.5 Creed and 6 Dasher for trigger time.

Perhaps a gopro could be programed for that.

I've hunted that unit once for elk and twice for deer all rifle and scouted a few times in Sept. IMO, the 7500-8500' band and water is where it's at for that time of year. Lot's of people on that hunt but lots of room to spread out plus two weeks means very few people at times.

I'm like that at the local deer lease which has made quit considering inches. Now it's about history, story or unique / cool factors that may trip my trigger. Sounds much the same for you but the winter kill has certainly changed the near term Outlook for you. Best of luck with your hunts and...

I predict this thread blowing up in the next few days. I'll be happy with this, thrilled if it's green in the right spot but happy with a marginal deer unit as it's a chance to get out in Gods country. Plus it gives me the best motivation to stay in a shape other than round... ;)
