Not hard to find goats in that country. the biggest concentrations will be around the grandaddy peaks but are lots of nannies and kids but some stud billies have been taken there. also hayden, ostler and spread eagle peaks hold some good goats. When I had my tag it was hard to find many peaks...

I agree. I bought some helly hansen for my alaska trip and was very happy with it. It is a little heavier but I have yet to see any "breathable" work for long especially if you are walking a lot of heavy brush. As for being hot it is but I don't think any more then the breathable stuff...

They are only putting very few tags on each unit so it will be hard to dray them. and Fullthrottle UBA has had some very good influence with the division the last few years. Ben Lowder has done a fantastic job of building back the relationship with them. for the limited tags they will offer it...

I have had some experience on the archery hunt the last 3 years. IMO a 300" bull with a rifle won't be a tall mtn to climb. The biggest hurdle you will have will be the early date. You may want to take your higher points to a muzzy tag on a better unit. The rifle hunt ends sept. 20th next...

tsnow, The area we are talking about can now be hunted from Aug. 16th to Dec 15th so we get the rut even though it doesn't do much good in this area. In general though the archery hunt in Utah ends far to early even on the LE hunt to get into the rut. It is unfortunate but it is what it is...
