I've had some success with it. It can be a pain to carry at times but do believe it's worth using especially since you won't have to carry a bow.

The bear tag would be worth it if your planning on being there the whole season. Plenty of bears and plenty of elk. The trip off the hill could be done with only missing a morning or evening hunt. Or maybe not missing any. If you have any help along I would say go for it!

Thanks for all the help pre trip.Had a good time. Ended up staying at the Wyndham Suites in Eagle. Fridge,stove, and coffee pot. Comes with dishes and dish washer. Pretty nice set up. Was able to scout from Monday pm - Friday am. Met some nice people and a few of the tag holders. Didn?t see any...
