If he wants a guided hunt, he won't go wrong with Boulder Creek Outfitters. Tim Craig and his guides are top notch. They'll work as hard as possible to make a successful hunt, and they're north of Boise by Whitebird Idaho.

There's just something about them bears. Never see myself missing the spring Idaho hunt, but it'd be nice to chase one here with dogs. I just want to get my goat tag while I can still get around.

Did he put in for a different hunt the previous year? As far as I could tell, 15 points would have been max points with only 4 guys going for 5 bonus tags. I'm 1 behind that.

Anyone draw the Beaver late hunt? How many points did it take? Thought I had a pretty good chance but I guess I'll have to wait until I'm absolutely guaranteed. Wish Utah would post 2013 draw odds so I can start planning next falls adventures.

I know it's early, but I plan on cashing in on my 13 bear points for fall of 2014. Where would you put in if you guaranteed any tag in Utah? Who would you choose to run their dogs? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know when Utah will publish 2013 draw odds? Wanting to plan next year's hunt. Thought I would draw my goat tag this year and hunt bears next fall. If I'm not guaranteed goat next year, I'll buy a goat point and use my 13 bear points to guarantee a great fall experience.

Had a wolverine come in on my first ever bear hunt. Outfitter used horse meat for bait. Never saw a bear, but it was worth the cost just to see the wolverine.

O.K. I have a decision to make. I've got 13 points for goats so I should be able to draw a goat tag for the any of the Uintas, Provo Peak or Ogden Peak for next year. I've also got 11 points for bears so I'm thinking it's almost guaranteed for anywhere I choose. (I'm thinking San Juan fall)...
