I had the same tag for the same unit. It was tough, I spent around 10 total days hunting, had several close encounters and cool experiences. And while I ultimately didn't fill my tag I had a very fun and successful hunt. Big congrats on an awesome bull and making it all come together!

The ridge line from Sun Dial peak above Lake Blanche to the backside of Superior and from Superior west to Dromedary and O'Sullivan peak usually always has some goats on it. rugged country for sure, but I've never been up there and not seen any.

I have eaten a lot of deer, elk and pronghorn. In every case, pronghorn has had the best texture and flavor by far over the others when prepared and cooked right. It's for sure my favorite tasting venison.

Like several others have already said, depending on the unit, I would and have. General season unit...Absolutely. Limited or premium limited entry...Probably not, at least on opening morning! I did shoot this guy a few years back on opening morning with a general season muzzy tag.
