    Mt. Emily/Walla Walla Elk

Same quality of bulls in both units. The Wenaha is a walk in the park and way easier to hunt compared to the WW. Most bulls in the Walla Walla live in yew and tag alder jungles that you have to go around, which usually means climbing or dropping quite aways. You don't need to drop into the...

    Alvord Hot Springs

I had three lesbians stop when I was in the hot springs once. They came running down, stripped off, and jumped right in. I imagine the door on the bath house was replaced years ago...the stick figures painted on the door was a classic!

    White River deer

Premium tag! I've been photographing big bucks there for about 25 years. Don't forget to hunt up in the timber, many of the biggest bucks never come down, even in the rut and deep snow. Good luck to your dad!

    Chesnimus elk

The indians set up camp at Coyote Spring and shoot the hell out of the elk in the late summer. Don't know where you're going to pack in to, but the pack trails in the bottom of Cook Creek and Cottonwood Creek look clogged with fallen snags and abandoned. Good luck and have fun!

    My First Bear! (pic heavy)

Never really had time or much interest for hunting and killing bears, but with more time on my hands these days I decided to see what all the hubbub is about. My brother Roger and I drew tags for a northeast Oregon unit that we used to rifle hunt elk years ago. In fact, Roger hadn't been up to...
