What state? My brother found one a few years ago that was in a little worse shape...looks like the same genetics tho

Yep thats the one...got another monster via text last night...inline cheaters droptine and 34" wide on a monster frame. Hell of a year for Idaho so far amd the rut hunts are still to come! YB

If its the same buck i am thinking of its 39 1/2" wide and scores around 240" gross. YB

It was a tough year with the lack of water and late rutting activity in my area. I was able to shoot this bull the second to last day. My best bull by far. YB

So how are you coming up with 200"? 84 + 81....you would need a 35" inside spread...

I have found a few sheds over the years that have had the same problem....even a few chalkers that started to bleed out and stink like a s.o.b. Best thing I have found is to set them out in the sun and let them dry out....getting them wet will just cause it to bleed out more and stink...

Well "all this winter range" doesnt have to mean in your state...come over to idaho and check out one of the states biggest winter ranges....where the deer dont stand a chance from some of the tribes that get to hunt it this time of year...thats the BS im talkn about.

One of my buddies nephews had the late 40 bull tag and shot a 326 bull...the late hunt is a tough hunt since the general deer season runs along with it and everyone and there brother tries to kill a damn forky

You guys keep saying that the late cape (which is actually an EARLY rifle cape) doesnt look right on a buck with velvet? What happens when you shoot a buck like this? Scrap the cape and get a nasty summer cape? lol I have heard that you can ruff the velvet up a bit to make it more natural but...

I decided on the velvet because the sheds were old enough that they more than likely wouldnt hold the color and the one side needed a couple tines fixed....I think the taxi did a pretty good job all around....now I just have to wait and see the finished product! YB

When you gonna get that bad boy mounted up!? I think it will look amazing on a shoulder mount....or full body! lol p.s. If the wife wont let you hang it in the house I might have some extra wall space in my horn room! lol YB

BC, I didnt have a cape so I had the taxidermist find me one....It is going to be a early rifle cape with slick gray hair. He should be finished sometime next week and hangin in my new horn room so I will post up the finished product next week (hopefully!) YB

The taxidermist I am using is Joe Reed out of Vale Oregon. The velvet was done by an outfit in Portland Oregon. YB

I am going to have a taxidermist fix the bad side so I can get them on a shoulder mount. They will look pretty sweet in full velvet I think! The chewed up side scores 84 and the good side scores 100 3/8"....84" side is missing 15+"

Here are a couple good sets that I matched up 188 set 208 set as it is....If tines were all there 220's YB
