I never know to be jealous or not. On the one hand you find huge sheds but I think those rodents would drive me crazy. Maybe you should throw some tracking collars on the rats seems they find sheds better than dog or human. Anyhow awesome find and nice dog.

During our back country bow hunt this year in the Ansel Adams wilderness we were able to arrow a few grouse. They sure taste good roasted on a camp fire, especially compared to MRE's.

nice finds. I am glad to see you found a fresh brown, finally starting to drop. I will probably wait one more week before I hit my spot in D-6. My spot is so steep and nasty that you dont want to hike it more then once. So I always wait a little longer to ensure most bucks have dropped.

Yup your exactly right, except that it is not one of the biggest it is the biggest. Here is a pick of the mount from Cabelas in Reno. Here is a pic of the top three cal non typicals. I beleive they are from Modoc and Sisqyou (sp)

Thanks again bucksnort. What you stated above regarding the park bucks breeding with the local deer is what I and others have observed. My father in-law used to work right next to my hunting spot and he would consistently see a few big bucks during the summer months just not many. Thanks again

My 07 archery buck. No luck during rifle season.

Thats a great buck thanks for sharing. If your were to of shot that buck in the Merced river canyon leading into Yosemite I would swear that I have the matching sheds to that buck. Hopefully if I get some time and I can figure it out I will post the picture of my buck from this year.
