Not sure when the peak is, but I hunted sept 12-17, (if I remember right) last year and the bulls weren't bugling very much. Only heard bulls a couple days and we were around em the whole time. They were startin to push cows a bit, but the ones we saw weren't runnin off the satelite bulls yet...

Roseburg closed a large area in Pondosa last year to the public because they put their property in the PLM program and were awarded tags for their property. But havent heard of SPI closing off their lands.

My cousin drew the tag, still lookin for a place to concentrate. First scouting trip produced a little sign, but no animals. Hopefully the next trip will be more successful. Too much area to cover for the time we have to scout. Good luck on your hunt.

Talked to some locals last year during archer in C4 and they said they were seeing alot of bucks on the 6B side of hwy147 near Almanor which is west of Hamilton but have never hunted it. The area around Davis lake/Crocker mtn is Another good area. My cousin's ranch is across the road on 6B side...
