ok I found the story out tonight .... The buck was shot in 1983 in Rifle Colorado. It was traded to pay a bill best I gather, and the rack mounted in 1996. This man hunts quite a bit, and his wife will allow only so many heads mounted and since he didn't kill this one, it doesn't mean as much...

He's a hoss of buck though aint he? There were a few does and 2 other bucks with him, and he dwarfed them in body size

I actually went in and got a unit 2 tag, which is now valid for adjacent unit 1 and - 11 left over tags in unit 2 and I got one, so I'm hunting KS afterall in 2008 !
