Here in Idaho they let you apply for an extra whitetail doe tag. 2 years ago I got drawn and was able to get one with my 5yr. old son at the time. I got drawn again this year and was able to get it done opening night of bow season with my now 7yr old and my 3 1/2 yr old sons.
We sat the edge of a field in a double seated stand. We got in stand an hour before dark and had a great time. Shooting a doe isnt that exciting for me but to do it with both sons, with a bow was a good experience. We also got to watch the doe tip over.

Great job. Actually that's really impressive. Your boys must have a ton of patience to sit in a stand. I have two girls 10 and 4, I can barely make it through a dinner without them causing an uproar. Lol. Way to go!!

Congrats. The memory and the hunting lessons learned are what's important. That there is better than a lot of successful hunts by yourself. Keep them interested and hunting
