68 elk first rifle

So my father in law decides at 63 that he wants to chase elk. Never hunted a thing in his lifetime. He has, bad knees, back and hip....I get the pleasure of going with him on his first ever elk hunt. He picked unit 68, I have no idea why. Wold not have been my first choice, however it's not my hunt. I have been going over the gmu maps and google earth, and I just don't know where to take him. he has been down there scouting 5 times now and haven't seen a thing. I haven't had a chance to go with him. I was wondering if anyone would help me out here, any advice on where to go or where not to go would be appreciated.
