So i'm counting 11. Looks like 8 adults and 3 juveniles. I feel bad for the moose, elk and deer up there. Hell, i feel bad for the bears and cougars for that matter.
I heard about the well count on the Wyoming winter range . Very sad . We are facing the same date here in N.M. Very frustrating having the wolf huggers getting their way with everything here . I do believe unless hunters do what they have to do the elk herd that took so long to build will be in really bad shape. The wolf population I'm the Gila is is going through the roof. So frustrating.
Come on up to Lassen and Plumas counties in CA. We have them here now too. This past summer I heard someone was camped out in a van near them all summer tracking them. It?d be pretty hard to shoot one and not have the State Fish and Wildlife all over you. I'll bet they would have you pulled over before the smoke cleared.
They're growing in Oregon. I've heard them in Mt. Emily and know they are in several units but also heard them for the first time last year in the North fork of the John Day region. Idaho has it right give everyone as much opportunity to harvest these critters to a preset quota.
Wyoming has it pretty good with them, too. There were 32 killed in the predator-only zone from what the G&F said last week. That's in addition to the ones in the quota areas. I like the fact we can shoot them on sight in eastern Wyoming.

We need some undocumented wolf hunters who could retreat to a sanctuary city
That particular area of our state not long ago had one of the faster growing moose populations in Washington and lucky people drawing permits were taking some impressive bulls.
That is not the case any longer. Every one that frequents that area is now commenting on how few moose they see now compared to a few years ago.
Not that moose are not suffering from other issues too, but the wolves are certainly not helping.
