angle compensation question

i was curious that while using the arc method on shot ranges, how is energy and fps effected?

for instance on a down hill shot, the lazer range is 500 yards, but the arc range is 400. will the bullet hit with 500 yard energy and speed or 400 yard energy and speed?

hoping somebody smarter than me knows the answer.

If the bullet has traveled 500 yards then its velocity would be what you would normally expect at 500 yards. I don't think shooting uphill or down is going to make much difference on the velocity.
