It's all about Pendley and everyone saying he is, but his lonesome, going to sell off BLM lands.

It's an issue to discuss, but it's not going to happen.

Pendley. I know I don't have to explain him to you, we disagree, but I know you know what's going on.

For those that dont the BLM is now being run by a very open advocate for land sale. He doesn't lie about "transfer". His thoughts are in writing, written by him.

He's the "acting director", because there isn't a director. The director spot is Congress approved, which Pendley would never survive. So the R in DC pulled a cute, fast, and run to get there boy in charge, without having a confirmation.

240 million acres. Now controlled by a guy with Twitter handle, #sagebrushrebel.

All the R who screamed about Obama and his Czar program to end run Congress, here's your chance to show you don't approve of this bs way to run departments.

Call your rep, demand that Pendley be nominated to director, and face nomination process. Same as ever other agency director does.

Hoping to stir enough irritation that folks will push Congress for "transfer" to "fix it".

They have begun the process in my opinion. Moving the so called headquarters to Grand Junction is part of the fragmentation process. I won't let my political leanings dictate what happens to my public land, neither should you, my friend.

Funny how the oil/gas office is staying in DC. Can't figure out why? I was positive I keep hearing the state's can run it better. You'd think the state with most oil extraction on blm ground would have the oil office.

I called my Republican Senator Cory Gardner's Washington Office and indicated if Pendley is good enough to be inserted short term to head a govt. agency he should immediately have a Senate confirmation hearing and vote. Politics #101 again and yet another anti public lands ploy.

Tabby mtn was at $42 million. What do you think the book cliffs will go for? How about region G? Think the Mormons ain't gonna swallow 1/2 of Utah?

These guys are 100% honest and upfront with what they want. You should respect them enough to believe what they've said.

Halliburton is a service company and NOT an E&P.

A service comapny is NOT going to buy up surface acreage and the only thing E&P companies are concerned with are the petro minerals under the surface which they can LEASE anyway already from the the fed.

The whole Halliburton and "big oil" crap is carry over from the Bush/Cheney administration vs Kerry and company YEARS ago.

Time to move on and use the real jargon instead of the half-cocked bologna of the ill informed...

When Wolverine a oil exploration company was doing alot of exploring in central Utah they leased my brothers mineral rights. He asked if they discovered oil that was under his property what was the chance they would set up a rig on his property and they told him zero to none. That there was plenty of government land around him and if ever giving the chance they always preferred to drill on government land than private it is cheaper and less restrictive.
The oil companies do buy land for investment reasons but not for drilling reasons and when all public land is for sale in the western US most land is not going to be a good investment.
 
I remember my ex father in law, who's very very liberal, always blaming the Iraq war on Halliburton. Halliburton started the war so they could rebuild the region.....or so I was told repeatedly. He was an imbecile then, and certainly an imbecile now. But Halliburton is a huge target of the left. Just like Walmart and any other large company.

P.S. Solyndra has been defunct since 2011 and the only public property grab they ever got was a half billion in cash from the DOE and another twenty five million worth of tax credits from the golden state. Must have been the backroom doings of those nasty conservatives palling up to the corporate boogie man but the timeline makes that difficult to reconcile.

Here is "real" jargon. Pendley comes from Mountain States Law Foundation.

Because I know you won't, I checked out who funds MSLF. Texaco, Philips Petroleum, Exxon, etc, etc, etc.

Kinda seems silly for an industry that is so happy dealing with drilling leases from the feds, would spend so much money supporting Pendley who is on record over and over calling for srlling public land.

I guess I just don't think businesses spend millions supporting causes just for funzies.

Kinda seems like they view it as an investment?
