Nothing for me this year, which is a bummer, I always enjoy a good late cow hunt to fill up the freezer. Last year I bottled most of the meat from my cow elk, and it has made the best sandwiches I have ever eaten.

Didn’t think he’d draw the CWMU I put him in for, mine was 100%!

Drew a doe deer tag with my dad. I will have two hunts with my dad this year. Wasatch moose and this tag. At his ago I will likely not have many more with him so it will be a great year.

I wonder if there will be ewe tags every year from here on out. We saw the cow moose herds decline there for a bit and no cow moose tags were offered for a few years. I wonder if it will be the same with the ewe sheep tags.

I don’t think there will be an orientation for the ewe tag. It should be a very fun and easy tag to fill.

If you two are talking about the same unit I think your talking about. Then last year everyone with four points drew and most with three did. But I know a guy that drew it with five points this year. Am I thinking of the same unit you are thinking of ? ???

No not Beaver. The Beaver is a easy unit to draw. My dad drew it with one point. And couple other guys drew it with two points. A ton of tags. So the Beaver cow elk slaughter continues.
