We hunted the first day and a half. Lots of people where we went. No real big deer taken. Talked with 3 F&G officers 8 miles in on horseback. They said they had checked 2 deer by Tues afternoon, the worst success they had seen since 93. They also talked to an officer working lower and he had seen little success. I saw 2 dead bucks, both 25"+- 160-170 class. I did see one wide buck, but he had poor forks. Also a few 22-24" 4 points, but nothing to get excited about.
