ANYONE HUNTING NM UNIT 40 BOW

IF so can you give me some pointers? Cuz I checked the map there isnt that much BLM or state land anywhere??

I Live in Clovis which is in the southeast corner of unit 40. There is not much state or BLM. The area that offers the most public land is in the western half of the unit around Fort Sumner and House and in the Northern half around East of Santa Rosa towards Cuervo. Many ranchers in the Grady/Broadview area allow hunters as long as you ask first. There is some really good deer hunting throughout the unit. Some names are Mackechnie, Rush, Armstrong, Blackburn, Sours, Worley. These are some of the ranchers in that area around Grady.

Well hunted all over the unit and couldnt find a nice buck. I hunted From Ft.Sumner to Santa Rosa East of I-40, Hwy 156 is where I saw some deer but all small ones. I hunted all today with no luck and to make it worse truck broke down. I cant find any good area without running into Someones land.I bought a map and scouted this summer but there isnt any good BLM land in this area.Maybe someone can help me out?
