I think I like elk better hard horned and mule deer better in the velvet. Just my own observation & preference, but I would take that bull however he comes!!
GREAT bull! I drew a late tag on the montana border in Idaho, and this is just making the wait WORSE!!! I now live in Sparks, and guess I better start thinking of hunting Nevada! Hahaha...
Okay, it is huge. Why stand waaay behind him to detract from that fact? I saw a Facebook pic where one of the guides holds it off to the side of his body making the whole deal just dumb? Do they not trust that it's a big critter?
And standing far back has a purpose. When you show the picture people can see what the bull is. No one wants to zoom in and check the guy out. Also its nice to get photos you will enjoy. I sometimes set myself far back/to the side or ETC. so I got a nice picture to post and hang

I agree with you... I want to see the animal. We know the score. It is not like it is a 330 bull claiming to be a 436. It is the hunters picture for his memories. I do not notice the hunter unless she is smoking hot anyway!!
