When I read, "Heck sake , give that buck another year or 2 and he can really turn into something special." I take it the poster of that comment is suggesting the hunter pass on that buck. Lookin at the 2 pics of the NT, if 200 is his goal, then that buck probably will make him happy. In that country, drought drastically affects antler growth. A guy never knows what next year is going to hold. That buck could easily not be as good as he currently is. Heck, even up here in the great white north, I have seen bucks really head down hill after their 5th or 6th year. I have killed bucks that have lost over 20 inches of growth in one year and then never bounced back.
