Dear Interested Public;

Thanks for your comments on the Preliminary Alternatives for the Arizona
Strip Land Use Plans, which include the Grand Canyon-Parashant and
Vermilion Cliffs National Monuments and a revision of the Arizona Strip
Resource Management Plan.

You can now access Planning Bulletin #5, which summarizes the comments
received on the preliminary alternatives as well as changes made in the
alternatives. This issue also includes a discussion on changes in BLM
wilderness policy as it relates to planning.

Find Planning Bulletin #5 at http://www.az.blm.gov/fr_lup.htm, then click
on the Arizona Strip, and finally under News/Events.

The next opportunity for public review and comment will be when the Draft
Environmental Impact Statement/Management Plan is released toward the end
of next summer.

Thanks for your interest in the Arizona Strip. Send any comments,
questions, or suggestions to [email protected] or send written comments
to
