Bad cop No doughnut

from the sounds of it she broke alot more laws than the people she arrested....

How to start an argument online:
1. Express an opinion
2. Wait

Based on the three stories, this officer is about finished being effective as a highway patrol officer. Every time she goes to court, her credibilty will be attacked by the defense attorney and these cases will be used to discredit her testimony as being truthful.

I can not believe she turned off her recording device for the reason she gave. I always used one, not required by department and purchased at my own expense, to prove my testimony was truthful in court in the event the suspect lied under oath which happens most of the time.

Without further information, I will not say if this officer is a bad one and should be fired, or if she is being made a scapegoat by defense attorneys. What I will say is that she did make some bad decisions that led to and fostered this attack on her credibilty and will suffer for those poor decisions whether they are true or not true.

Suspects always lie in court, nobody wants to go to jail. I'm sure there is a LEO or 2 that has lied on the stand as well. 400 DUI's in a year, is that even posssible? That comes up to more than 1.5 a day if she worked 5 days a week without any time off. That in itself sounds suspect to me.

RELH, how is the knife making bussines going?

Buttshot;

Yeah! 400 per year sounds like someone on a crusade or out to prove something. That in itself makes me suspicious about the officer placing the goal above that officers integrity.

I have seen some officers do this and most times it did not turn out very well for the officer or the dept.

One of the things I stressed very hard with deputies I trained was too never lie under oath and lower yourself to the level of the suspect that is on trial. It only takes getting caught one time lying and your credibilty is ruined for the rest of your career.

As for the knife bussiness, going fine. I will be at the Big Reno gun show on Aug. 17-19 at the Grand Sierra Casino-Hotel. If you are in that area stop by to B.S.
