Here is better Pic of an eastern Montana Buck. TAken between Forsyth and Colstrip. This is the second year we have hunted on this ranch. We knew there were some good bucks but holy cow. Sci score by the taxidermist in forsyth was 202 1/2. That inline point is 10 1/2 inches long. Not a real long story. The guy that shot it is a friend from New England who has never hunted mule deer before. Do to some injuries he has we thought this would be a good place to take him to get a respectable deer. First fifteen minutes that he and another friend were driving up one of the ranch roads this bruiser was standing on a ridge line. Three shots later the rest is history.
At first he didn't realize exactly how good of deer it was. It took a few hours of everybody congradulating him on it before it finally sunk in. If it was me I think I would still be a Buff's bar in forsyth with that rack on the bar stool next to me telling everyone about what a great hunter I am
we killed two other nice mature bucks that weekend also but nothing like this one. Great genetics on the ranch and a great rancher to boot.
HNTNHRD ( some day for one like this for me)
