I posted this on a couple of other forums along with some other Alaska pics, but thought some of you might want to see it. My dad and I took a trip to Alaska in 96 and had many fun adventures.
While there a buddy of ours hooked us up with a friend who owns a bear lodge waaaaaay out on the Penninsula. We didn't hunt, but spent a few days fishing and exploring. They had just finished the spring season and the hunters were gone, but we spent a few days with some of the guides/pilots/skinners.
This picture is of a bear that had been killed a couple of days prior to us arriving. I'm not an expert, but they said it was a big one and I had to agree! They were actually saying that they thought it would go in the top ten all time. Looks like it could have swallowed both my dad & I and still had room for more..... ;-)
