I was watching a hunting show last night, one guy on a trophy elk hunt with a posse of spotters with very expensive equipment. I thought it was entertaining watching the hunter pass on 350+ bulls for five days wanting a 400 bull. He thanked Doyle Moss on a couple of occasions. What I found interesting is that on the sixth day when he finally found the bull he wanted to shot and had it in his cross hairs he stopped and put on an orange (not blaze orange in my opionion) pull over coat for the first time during the hunt. He took his shot and killed the elk. He kept the orange coat (no hat) on while they filmed him admiring the bull.
My question is, being from Colorado were the regs say to where a blaze orange hat and coat while hunting, does the "Blaze Orange while hunting" requirement start just before you pull the trigger?
