Book cliffs muzzy elk

Dad drew the tag this year (not the roadless area) and we have a pretty good idea where to look. Several of my friends have drew the tag in the last 4 years-muzzy, rifle and archery. Problem is they all hunted in different areas-seems like there is elk everywhere in the unit-probibly can't go wrong wherever we decide to camp and hunt. We are just about to start scouting come the first of september-we have waited because of what we have been told (the elk move to different elevations once the rut starts).

If you have any experience on this hunt I like to hear your thoughts.

If so do you think it is any advantage hunting close to the roadless unit? (seems like more big bulls are takin in the roadless).
