Boots

I've used a bunch of different boots, from Danners to several European brands. The best boots I've found are from Kennetrek, they're not too cheap, but they are the most comfortable boots I've worn for the widest variety of conditions.

After Optics, I think what you put on your feet is pretty high up on the list of most impt piece of equipment.

The Danner Talaus boots are good for the money.

Kenetrek is great. Also, check out lathropandsons.com, bought a custom made pair from them and they are by far and away the best fitting boots I have ever had.

LAST EDITED ON May-04-09 AT 09:48AM (MST)[p]Bought a pair of Kennetreks last year for the Elk hunt. They broke in easy and are without a doubt the best boots I have used. Put many miles a day on them in steep rocky terrain including packing out 2 Elk. I now have a closet full of Danners, Irish setter, Rocky boots I will probably never wear out.
