I do find it strange that their rules and regulations did not allow for the officer to be fired and just a 11 thousand dollar fine and demotion in his job. Credit must be given to the officer that did the infield investigation and cited him instead of sweeping it under the rug.

just a 11 thousand dollar fine??? i dont know where you work but 11 grand is pretty hefty in my book. cmpare that to the fines you would get drunk driving or some little tweeker busting out you car window and stealing your car and torching it.

I feel the fine is pretty hefty, but how can he continue to work there..?? That's really strange. Maybe he was well liked and they didn't want to put him and a family on the street..?? I'll admit, I hate poachers, but there may be good reason he was able to keep his job.
