well, actually it was just one bird...anyway, here's a few from today...
saw a couple uphill from me and figured there might be more, so got the camera out of the pack, and sure enough...
the little one on the far right looked like he had a 'down-turned' 2nd...
here's a little closer pic..
i was hiking back out, and had just put my camera and tri-pod away in my pack, and was gonna have a bite to eat when i saw a little bird fly into this hole...was gonna 'let it go', but being as i am, i got the camera and tri-pod back out and 'set it up' on the hole...i sat there for 1 hour and 14 minutes (checked the time on my pics) till he/she finally let me get some photos...not the best shots, but it sure was fun...
finally, some action...
it was a mountain chickadee...
