have you not been taught how to use a hoochie mama yet, all you have to do is give it a push and you hear that distinct sliding note of a cow call. oh ya and it gives you three different options of sound too just got to twist it a little, i know how to use many different calls mouth, bugles, diaphram, whatever and have had just as good of luck calling bulls in with a hoochie mama, not that it is my call of joice but it works sometimes, if your hunting the south slope and its really quiet sounds like you might be the one who needs to work on your calling skills, maybe you should upgrade to the hoochie mama because it is idiot proof!!! i also hate early callers who go out and educate the elk i have not been out calling yet for this reason nor do i plan on doing any calling for the first couple of weeks, i sit water holes and game trials and listen to see if any action is happening, one year i saw and heard a guy from 150 yards away bugle from his atv, so i let out a bugle right from the truck trail, he came flying over to ask if i heard a bugle told him yes it came from the bottom of the canyon, so he continued to call from his atv like an idiot, what do you have against primos calls, just mad that they are successful at what they do? what call do you prefer Mr elk caller dude
