California begging for hunters ???

Krist, they haven't been doing herd surveys in many units recenty because of the lack of funds. The predators have destroyed the "deer factory" B Zone and they come up with this horse manure. RIDICULOUS

somebody finally decided that they are losing money,,,,,, its all about money ,,, maybe we can improve recruitment and if so then we can levy a new tax ,,,,

And thus we see what happens when dumocrats are allowed to run amok in a state legislature. The inmates are truly running the asylum.

Sadly, it will happen to all western states. AZ fell after CA on trapping and NM is a close second.

Now, if they just had something to hunt.....they're already issuing more buck tags than there are bucks in the B zones.

Laughable
I seem to remember a hunter from California , I believe, that legally harvested a mountain lion in Idaho, and was practically tarred and feathered for it.

He was on the fish and game commission. Possibly president of the board.

I was told there is not one board member who is a big game hunter. Hence, that the name has been changed from fish and game, to fish and wildlife
More money for the Wolves. Did they ever find the Shasta Pack? LMAO.

I would not be surprised if a good portion of the money gained though hunting-fishing license sales and tags have been drained off to the general fund to finance pet programs. Just like they drained off the funds that went to the counties and cities to repair roads from gas tax and vehicle reg. fees to fund the boon goggle bullet train from L.A. to San Francisco.

RELH

This is hilarious!! California has some of the toughest gun laws in the country & now they are trying to promote hunting LOL. Its all about money & they are losing a ton of it!! This state is a complete
Joke. Hunters & people with common sense have no say here!!

You got it wrong they don't want you to hunt just to buy a license.

That is really hard to believe, maybe sanctuary state means that the humans, illegals, and all the animals can frolic and play and have fun together

Hey Laughable

that was our Director of Fish and Game, and it was Newson's Dad who directed the state to purse him getting fired even though it was a legal kill.

All of their grand plan to eliminate hunting all together.

You?re absolutely right I've lived in Utah my hole life and I see it changing every day. They estate 450,000 people will move to the salt lake area in the The next 10 years, and that place is a chit hole now.

It's almost more honorable to admit you're into necrophilia in CA than to admit you're a hunter.

Now THAT's funny....sick but funny nonetheless and probably not far from the truth. It's almost no better here so I'm not casting stones.

I knew Zeke would understand. :D

Trump has it wrong. We don't need a wall on the Mexican border, we need a wall on the Californian border!!

THIS STATE IS LOADED WITH HUNTERS,.....WAY TOO MANY !! WE DO HUNT OUR STATE SOME, BUT MOSTLY OUT OF STATE HUNTS MAKE UP 90% OF WHERE WE HUNT FOR BIG GAME.

CALI $$$$ FLOATS A LOT OF FISH & GAME DEPTS.......YD.

Fish and Wildlife isn't doing a very good job of marketing this. First I've heard of it. They must be recruiting fisherman, because they've jacked up the hunting.

It's mostly not Fish and Wildlife's fault, but California has some of the best year around fishing in the world. The fishing is what keeps me here.

Agreed! F&G has their hands tied somewhat because of state laws. Ban on lion hunting, trapping, and use of hounds. However, I don't see any pushback from that agency when these laws are being presented and voted on.
However, they could help themselves and our big game herds by getting rid of the horses and have lion trapping areas done through F&G.
Aside from the politics, California does offer some amazing outdoor opportunities, like the fishing. And you live in the perfect spot for that.
As for me, the only thing keeping me here is the wife and kids.???

I have had one foot in California and one foot in Utah for most of my 60 some years.

Some of you guys are right California has some great hunting and fishing opportunities, and tons of public access.

But,, what was once a great conservative state is now unrecognizable. This liberal / socialist cancer is unstoppable and spredding like wild fire. The best hunters can do is try and keep the penalty?s for poaching as low as possable.

I went into Walmart the other day and had to show ID to buy a whetstone.

Some of you guys would fall to the ground and roll around in frustration if
you were to see how bad it really is.

New Mexico not too far away. The Dems here are trying to ban trapping on state land.
The Dems have controlled New Mexico since the day it became a state. This new breed of dems are crazy and manage wildlife by emotion.
It really has become a battle between urban VS way it's been.

LOL Fish and Wildlife has realized they have dun just managed themselves out of jobs. They did nothing to stop the mountain lion bill which was the beginning of the end and have from then on pretty much assisted in the demise of California hunting. Too little too late. Hunting in Cali and the Department of Fish and Wildlife are one ballot measure away from doom.
