chevy broke again!!!!

Well a few days back I lost my temper with horrible oil field roads and decided I was gonna fly down a 2mph road at about 90! Well I used to do this in my ford all the time and never had a problem. Well being dumb like I am I gun it in my chevy of all vehicles. Well at the end of the road my display is telling me my airbags were deployed, my trailer brake system needs checked, my oil needs changed, my hood is open, and all my tires are flat. Upon further inspection the right half of my bumper fell off, my fog lights fell out and both side view mirrors need replaced. My warning chime won't turn off and the electronics on the left half of my truck don't work. So I take my truck to the dealership thinking with 37k miles I will get it warrantied right? Wrong! Even though the body is in mint condition and has no signs of ever being wrecked chevy tells me if I drive too fast down bumpy roads chevy won't warranty my truck. W.T.F.!!!! It appears the bulk of my problems are that the radiator fan came loose and tore through several wiring harnesses/wire clusters. Chevy gives my truck back, tells me come back in a week when all the parts are in and bring several thousand dollars and they will fix me up. In the mean time my tail lights and right head light won't work and I've been pulled over twice already. I called the local ford dealership and my new diesel will be in first week in may. Thank god. I think I'm gonna take my chevy down to the chevy dealer on that day, park it on their show room floor, stick a gasoline soaked rag in the diesel tank, light it, and walk off! God I'm sick of these falling apart chevys. I never once had parts just fall off my ford. May have had massive engine problems but if ford fixed those I'm fixin to be drivin the baddest truck ever. Crossin my fingers here and hopin for a miracle.

I kinda agree with them. Abuse shouldn't be a warranty issue, that's how it works with everything else. To me, if it's your fault it broke then you can fix it.

Dude you are hard on stuff! Good thing you have a lot of money. No truck chevy ford or dodge will stand up to 90 mph on an oilfield road running 38s, none of them really stand up very good on 38s on the blacktop. Good luck though.

It's really that hard to understand why Chev won't warranty a truck they can obviously tell was abused by the driver? I was always taught by my father that if I was going to do stupid ##### (like rolling 90 mph on a 2 mph road) I should learn to deal with the consequences. Go figure.

Never seen a chevy after 100K that was not a rattle trap and half the crap on it didn't work.

My old chevy turned over 276,000 miles the other day, I'm waiting for it to die so I can buy another one. Maybe the problem is in the fact that I don't drive 90 anywhere. I do get flipped off occasionally when I'm on an oilfield road.

As for the new Ford, those first year "makover" trucks are usually lemons, i hope you'll somewhat baby that gorgeous thing and give it a small chance for survival.

But on second thought.....i've ridden with you and so has Bessy, we couldn't wait to get back somewhere where we could walk!! Lol

I just sold my Chevy 2 days ago and went back to the Ford. I will NEVER EVER buy a Chev again. From day 1 I had the power steering pump go out, the windshield wiper fluid container leaked and the pump broke, all 4 speakers and the stereo had been replaced and one emission sensor. Of course this was all under warranty. Not 30 days after the warranty had expired, the power steering pump went out again, the wiper fluid started leaking again and one speaker went out. Chevy said, bring it back in and we'll fix it. Of course the warranty will not cover it even though we already fixed it. They won't stand behind their trucks and they have robbed the public blind in their bailout. SCREW CHEVY!!!!!

i forgot about the speaker problems. i had a speaker in terras diesel i just sold that the engine played through. guess we had an exposed wire or something and the positive feed back was horrible. chevy was clueless and never fixed the problem. i finally got sick of the over amplified engine noise and cut all wires to it. chevys engine may be better but the tradeoff doesnt seem to be worth it. crossin my fingers for the new fords now.

I am a ford guy from day one...ended up buying a chevy its a rattle trap but i bought it with 105k and its only problems in the 4 years i have had it..fuel pump went out...alignment issues eating tires...oil changes.. a wiring problem kept knocking out my tail light...and i am hard on trucks..stinky now i think the problem was you wernt going fast enough go faster is always a good motto
