I would stay in the range of 150 to 165 gr bullets most of the 300 WSMs i have loaded for really like these weights, with any gun play with the seating depth a little the accubonds really shot well and so did Barnes TSXs but i like nosler bullets they have never let me down.

66.5grs of Hodgdon4350 this is a pretty warm load
Velocity is around 3200fps
Extremely Accurate 3 shot groups average less than a .50" @ 100 yds

Velocity is around 3500fps
3 shot groups average .75" @ 100 yds

I shoot a 300wsm and i have had good luck with the barnes mrx bullet 180 grain very accurate and every thing i have shot with it died instanty.

ok i have a Christensen arms 300 WSM built on a browning A-bolt.
The best bullet period is the winchester supreme fail safe 180 Gr.
to bad they dont make the fail safe anymore with the new acu-bond
but you still can find them. i just baught 4 boxes of them.
the acu-bond just wont cut it! The gun does not like them!
fail safe 100 yards will shoot a half inch group out of mine.
acu-bond 100 yards will shoot a three inch group out of mine.
i shot an elk at 702 yards with mine shooting a 180Gr. fail safe
