OK boys, we all love hot chicks half naked. BUT, not here!!!! It needs to end. Sorry, but there's way too much going on and it's not appropriate. I have a hard time with my son watching the show Two and a Half Men. This site is the becoming a bit too much and no dad should have to think about his 14 year old some getting on here and seeing all that soft porn stuff.

I'm glad you all understand.....(if you don't, sorry). No more of that crap. I dropped the ball and let it slide for a bit, but it has just become way too much.

Let's instead talk about wonderful places to have wine, or nice places to dance, etc. HA HA HA I'm obviously just teasing. But, I'm sure there are other things to talk about around a campfire other than mostly naked women.

I fully understand and appreciate your position, but by now, you should realize that with the MM clubhouse in play, fully half of these guys have stopped caring anything at all about half naked women.....LOL!

I am partly to blame for that thread. The pics that i personally posted were of fitness women from the world i have my profession in. To me they were very tasteful and shows dedication to a very healthy lifestyle (that more of us should live by!).
I followed that thread like a hawk in case it swayed off the subject. Unless something happened later after i shut down my PC, i felt it's content was not out of line. The pics displayed were no worse (if not more tasteful) than what our children see on TV every single day. Now days we can watch the Victoria's Secret models on regular TV like it's a family event for crying out loud!!
I sent an apology to the member who alerted the thread for my part in it, but i also suggested that the campfire is not a place for a teenager to be educated on hunting, as there is rarely anything in that forum that even relates to it.
Just last night i nuked a thread twice that a member had pics of thong underwear'd women and post from viewers below that were extremely sexual.
Having said that, i'll keep an eye on it and shut down any pics of females that appear......sorry boys!!

Hate to say it but a 14 year old boy now days knows more and is taught at school about sex than his dad/mother had learned. That is just the way it is now so live with it, hell, he probably could teach his dad a few things.

I too forget that we have members AND visitors, but its topics that come up at a Campfire---and well....we talk about chicks, and not fully clothed ones!

But in the end its your site, your rules...the advertisers may not like it- follow me on this on...


Men enjoy seeing it...they have money...they visit the site to see what's new in the campfire forum(after they give their long winded opinion on deer management in the mule deer forum) they click on an advertisement, and buy some stuff...the circles complete.


Now 14yo kid, that aint got a dime to his name comes into the campfire forum- sees a chick looking hot...creams his jeans, gets scared that he's going to hell, and never visits the site again (until he is old enough to have a job and a real love of chicks)...which is ok, cause he aint got any money to spend with the advertisers.


Just my take on it...I could be wrong.

I like that idea, but it needs to be moderated seriously so "pornography" doesn't make it's way through the cracks.
The pics in the thread of question were not distasteful at all (IMO). I think two piece bathing suits with good taste and not of sexual content are just fine......i nuke "thongs" or "string bikini's" all the time, those go to far. I also have nuked "see through" suits where body parts are visible.
Female pics need to be tasteful and non offensive, even in a private forum, or it WILL get out of hand.
I'd be glad to moderate it......

Thanks founder this crap has gone on too long. It has kept me away from the site completely most of the time lately. I guess I have grown up in the last year or so . Let's keep it a skank free site .
 
You should create another forum Brian. You could call it the "horny old geezer forum". Z could moderate it because he's probably the only one that can see detail anymore. Most of the young guys are gettin it at home (or everywhere else) so they don't need to see it here. It's the old mens club that needs to see what women used to look like in the good ol days. I bet you could get Viagra to sponsor it. I'm sure they would all over the "pop up" adds!

As a matter of fact I am there Bessy! I'm a happily married man but that don't mean I don't enjoy looking as some nice tail. And BTW, when I was 14, you know before there was internet, I had Playboy and Penthouse mags hidden in my room like most normal teenage boys.

The dads on this site that are trying to protect their teenage boys from seeing girls in bathing suits are pissin' in the wind because their teenage sons are getting it from somewhere else. I say good luck to those dads that can keep their kids from drinking, smoking, drugs and skimpy bathing suits. Oh, and they probably shouldn't watch any TV or movies other than Disney Channel either.

I have a teenage son who doesn't drink (yet and I say yet because I drink beer and although I won't encourage him to drink), when he is old enough I would gladly share a few beers with my boy if he so chooses. He does not smoke and probably never will and he does not do drugs and certainly never will so if I caught my son scoping out a few hotties on the internet I probably would actually feel a sense of pride. Why? Because that kid gets good grades and gives me no trouble and quite frankly it's reassuring for a dad these days to know his son is interested in girls. Those of you dads whose teenage boys aren't showing interest in girls might start seeing them liking things in rainbow colors if you know what I mean.

Call me a dickweed, I don't care but there hasn't been a damned thing posted on any thread that a kid couldn't find on regular TV. Well, except for maybe that one pumpkin I think Z posted back around Halloween but that it!

Exactly Bessie! I'll let you in on a little secret too. I grew up in a Mormon family and was forced to do the 3 hour church thingy on Sunday, then collect fast offerings, then firesides, then family home evening on Monday, then youth on Wednesday, then out with missionaries, then home teaching, couple all that with Seminary EVERY day before school and before you knew it, it was Sunday again. It was INSANE how much time we spent doing church stuff.

I couldn't wait to drink beer and do stupid shyt just to catch a vacation from church! I had my parents fooled into thinking I was Mr. Mormon and guess what, so did all the other young men and even quite a few of the young women too. When I turned 19, I had all the mission stuff ready to go and even knew where I was going, Fortaleza, Brazil to be exact when I decided it was time to man up. I went to my parents and told them I wouldn't be going on a mission because if I did, I would only be going for them and not because I wanted to. I told them it was time for me to move out and do my own thing.

I know exactly what a Jack Mormon is. Hell my bishop was the manager of the store that I worked at just out of high school and that dude could out cuss a sailor! I swore I would never put my kids through what I went through as a teenage Mormon. If they want religion in their life, they won't be brainwashed and will figure out which one works best for them. I will not however tolerate them going to any church that Manny is involved in or one that has a zero tolerance policy like Manny's. I'm not at all bashing Mormons here, they're great people but IMO they're doing a great disservice to their youth with all the "activities" that are involved. I think it drives a lot of kids away when they're on their own and don't have mommy and daddy forcing it on them.

So all you Mormon parents out there, take it from me and a bunch of people I grew up with, if you force a kid to eat peas every day of the week and twice on Sunday, he might not like peas when he grows up. Just sayin'...

Would you recommend I not force the kids to go to school and do their homework too? Man, that school crap takes up a lot of thier time! Maybe I won't make them do chores around the house either....wouldn't want them to rebel against the Man. Maybe you're onto something, we could probably have a better society if we just let the kids sit around all day, sluffing school, surfing porn, drinking beer and playing video games or dealing, or tagging, or soliciting?

Just a thought Fork. . . you say your son doesn't drink, smoke and do drugs. When you were 16-17, what would your parents have said if someone asked you if you drank? You said you had them fooled into thinking you were a good boy. What makes you think you aren't being fooled by your own son? I'm sure you will say something like, "Well, my kid is different. I know my son and he'd never do that." I bet your parents would have said the same thing.

LMAO! I knew I would strike a nerve with the Mormon crowd. Relax people remember I'm not Manny, I actually think Mormons are good people. I didn't bash any of the doctrine so don't label me a hater, I simply said I was forced into church related activities that were IMO excessive and it made me not want to have any part of it when it was MY choice.

You want to talk about how I know my son is good? Cool! I know because I do everything with my son. I take him hunting, fishing, dirtbike riding and whatever the hell else he wants to do. I have 4 kids but in reality, I damned near have 5 because my son's best friend practically lives with us because his parents don't do shyt with him. This summer while punk ass teenagers are up to no good, my son and his friend will be working for me making money just like they did last summer and they can't wait. So yeah, I know because I have a good enough relationship with my son that he's not afraid to ask me if he wanted to try a beer, which in fact has already happened.

The difference in relationships is that when I was a teenager, nobody took me hunting or fishing or dirtbike riding probably because we were too busy with church LOL! I didn't dare tell my dad if I did anything wrong because he would have made me tell the foul mouthed Bishop. To this day I don't have the greatest relationship with my dad but I'm cool with it and he knows I'm there if he needs anything.

Comparing church activities to school is a good one. Try this, make your kids go to school seven days a week and see if they want to go to college after high school. The analogy of the school thing is ridiculous because we force kids to go to school K through 12th grade and then they're free to do as they choose and what percentage of those kids go right to college after high school? Hell most kids barely graduate high school so go ahead and make them go seven days a week and see how that turns out for you. Yes, church was almost seven days a week because we had seminary 5 days a week, FHE on Monday night, Youth on Wednesday and there were many Saturdays where we were mowing the church lawns or helping the elderly or less fortunate and then it was Sunday.

Look, don't get me wrong, it wouldn't matter to me what religion it was. I had my fill of it when I turned 19. If my son came to me tomorrow and said dad I want to go to church I would gladly hand him the keys to the car but I won't force it upon him. All I'm saying is maybe you should make sure that your kids want to be there so they're being there for themselves and not for you.
 
Forkie, once Mannie finds out you have a formal Mormon background he will know your the devil. LOL
