Conditions Nevada 061/071

I posted this in the Nevada forum but it wasn't getting much traffic.

I'm leaving the 6th for my late bull hunt in 061/071 and I am hopeful somebody has recent first hand knowledge on what the weather has been like and how the roads are. I'm still not sure where i'll setup camp. It depends on the weather, road conditions and whether the elk have moved down and north. It'll be my first time in the units other than passing through. Tentatively I am setting up camp just SE of Merritt Mtn. if conditions allow. It looks like showers and sun this week near Owyhee. Thanks.

Just watch the weather, might be some mud holes but otherwise I bet it's fine, been storms but its getting warm and drying out

Thanks Piper. I've been watching the weather closely and I've studied historical data. It looks pretty nice at least for the next week. I'm well prepared either way. Tire chains, winch, shovels, etc. I would like a little snow. For some reason, I like hunting in the snow. Being able to see tracks, fresh or otherwise, gets me motivated.
