Post 'em up. Let's see your custom rifle or your go to hunting rifle. If you're like me, you like seeing other hunting rifles and setups and if nothing else, helps pass the time till season.
LAST EDITED ON May-11-09 AT 10:53AM (MST)[p]Here's mine: nothing fancy. Rem 7mm model 700. I've got a McMillan edge stock on order, so I'm anxious to get that on there. Shoots pretty good as is using handloaded 140gr accubonds and IMR4831. Not a custom by no means, but great hunting rifle.
I have been saving aluminum cans so I can someday afford a 300 RUM or 338 Lapua....Then I will be able to shoot critters from the next county like stinky......

LAST EDITED ON May-11-09 AT 05:06PM (MST)[p]Here's a couple that have been blinged a little - not full on customs but I do have one in the works but will be a year or so before complete.
Anyway, first one is a Remington LVSF in .223 that has a B&C Alaskan Ti stock in green/black webbing. Its had the bolt Ti fluted and a bolt knob done - work by Kampfeld Customs.
This next one has had quite a bit of work done - all by Kampfeld Customs. Started out as a Remington CDL in 7mm-08. Kampfeld then did the Ti bolt flute, barrel fluting on a Shilen Stainless Select Match #3 contour barrel, his recoil lug double pinned, he machined down the action to shave off weight, Callahan bolt shroud/firing pin, side bolt release, Cerakote graphite black the action, skim bedded in a B&C Alaskan Ti stock. Shoots well under an inch with factory ammo, best thing is Karl shaved off almost a pound of weight from the gun and it balances perfect. Hope to break it in this year on Wyoming antelope!!
Remington Custom Shop KS Mountian rifle in 280Rem, really only mod is Ti fluted bolt. For me this is pretty much the perfect factory semi custom ever built IMHO.
It started with a standard BDL stock and a VX III, shooting handloads at just under MOA
I picked up a Mt rifle stock and bedded it, then added a Kahles 3X9X42 W/TDS.
Now it shoots cheap Federal factory 130 at 1/2 MOA or less.
LAST EDITED ON Jun-19-09 AT 01:24PM (MST)[p]I will play.
This is my .257 wby. Built fromt he ground up by Arizona Custom Rifles (now closed, due to the economy).
25 1/4" Shilen number 2 ( I believe number 2) barrel, recessed target crown.
Remington 700 action, completely overhauled, recoil lug flattened. Glass and pillar bedded in a B&C tan with black spider web stock.Floated tube, triger ground to fit my finger, trigger set at about 2.5-3 lbs. Wears a 4.5-14x44 Zeiss that I sent in to have turrets put on. Sits in Talley LW's, bedded to action and lapped. I like the stock for being semi cheap, but I want to replace the recoil pad.
The Coues that it is with, was killed at 571 yards with a Berger VLD
Why would you take a custom and put that rubber garbage on it?

Here's mine I just got a couple months ago. Not a custom, but had some work done. It's a remington 700 sendero in 300 RUM. I added the brake, had it bedded and added a rifle basix trigger. The scope is a ziess 6.5x20x50.
