If you're limiting yourself to 500 yds or so, have the turret built on verified load data, and the turret is built for the approximate elevation you'll be hunting and doing your shooting at, you should be pretty good (assuming your scope is capable of tracking, as has been pointed out).
If you're planning on shooting much beyond that, then I would suggest running an MOA or Mill turret and a kestrel. (There are just too many day to day variables at the longer ranges that a custom turret can't account for)
Kenton builds a great custom turret, as long as a person understands their limitations.
