This was my 14 year old daughter Mindy?s third elk hunt, and she got her first elk this year on a youth encouragement hunt December 30th, 2014. The previous two hunts between weather conditions and just the way hunting works out sometimes, she wasn?t able to seal the deal. She never gave up and we still hunted hard no matter what. The persistence paid off this last season. She made a great shot with a rifle we bought from NMPaul several years ago. Thanks Paul. That 7mm-08 seems to be a great choice to start someone with. I am a very proud Dad.
