When i think of early archery season i think of coues hunting in 100+ degree weather. Sweating my butt off next to a waterhole, getting sunburned while glassing.......

My wife was running a marathon in northern az this weekend so i thought it would be a good chance to go look at some elk. I didn't even think to throw my bow in the truck.....BIG MISTAKE. These bucks were bedded 40 yards off of the road and when i drove by they just stood up and looked at me.
There were a lot of hunters running around and I was tempted to go borrow a bow!
I cried like a baby when they SLOWLY TROTTED OFF......
Sorry for the poor quality, i grabbed the camera as fast as i could and started shooting.

I feel the same way, if my bow was in the truck i would have never seen that deer!
