Didn't know this till a few weeks back I was coming through a town. As I was coming south on a certain road, I noticed some nice bucks just off the road. As I spun around to observe these, I noticed that there were a couple other people watching these bucks. As I went to take a picture with my camera from my truck.. I noticed a person step from the trees, less than 60 yards from my truck and a MAJOR ROAD. This person had one of these big ol bucks run at him and he pulled back his bow, and hit the buck.
As an outdoorsman I thought that I just witnessed a poaching. It was inside city limits, shooting in the direction of a busy traveled road, and flat out wrong.
Made a call to the local authorities. They confronted the people involved in this incident. Long story short, come to find out that certain cities have ordinances that permit hunting inside city limits.
So, I pose the question...Ethical vs Not Ethical? Personally I don't think I would. A. Busy Road B. City Limits C. Cheating ...
Don't really agree with what went down. PD called the DWR, they said it was legal, guy goes and recovers a dandy of a buck.
Thoughts?
