Yeh, I used an elk antler once last year as well.

The day after the sharpie shoot I went after sage-grouse. It was a pretty good day.

mtmiller, great shots. I would love to get photos of the sage grouse one day but we have very few up here in Sask. Check out this post on a guys blog. They have a sage grouse, sharptail grouse cross visiting one of the leks they photograph at. It is a cool looking bird.

John is my counterpart at the Glasgow BLM. Cool that the bird is back this year. I saw pics from last year, but this is new info for this season.

Thanks for the update and if you ever need sage-grouse to photograph you are more than welcome to come down next year.
