Here's my 2015 bear rug. She was 17 years old according to tooth, weighing ~350 lbs. I bought a tag on a whim and got lucky spotting her across a canyon at 315 yards with 8mm RM in hand.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-14-17 AT 10:56AM (MST)[p]Thanks Everyone! Darryl's Taxidermy in Grand Junction, CO did the bear... The other guys in our hunting camp have had mounts done by him, a bit pricy but he does good work.

Respectfully,

How much to have your bear rugged if you don't mind me asking? I have a San Juan spring tag this year and am looking at possible taxidermist just in case. Thanks

It was $1200, and that did include cleaning the skull to display on a mantle or shelf.

Darryl's Taxidermy does great work he has done a deer shoulder mount and many euro mounts for me. He has my 2016 bear as well. His price's arent as bad as some in the grand valley.his turn around time is definitely awhile but his work make's up for it. By the great bear was that a left over/otc tag?
